I made this small rectangular ring, quiet in form, but full of motion. Across its surface, I soldered wavy strips of silver, then added chiseled lines that run in different directions.

It made me think of grasses bending in the wind, or the shifting surface of the ocean. It’s such a small space, but somehow it holds movement. Not a snapshot, but a feeling of change caught mid-breath.

What I want it to say—without words—is that everything is always moving. Nothing stays. Except maybe the one who watches. The one who holds space. That’s what I feel like sometimes—the container, the vessel. The constant, inside the flow.

It reminds me of growth, of water, of the impossibility of holding on. You can see it, feel it, but never truly keep it. It slips through. It becomes something else. That’s what I love most, I think. That it doesn’t need to be controlled to be powerful. That wildness has its own kind of peace.

This slightly curved rectangular ring measures 1.02" (2.6 cm) tall by 0.90” (2.3 cm) wide.

The adjustable ring band is 0.39" (1 cm) wide. I can cut it to fit any size between 5 and 10.5. Once I cut it, you will still be able to open it half a size.

This one of a kind ring is hand forged with 100% recycled sterling silver.

ANILLO RASTRO DEL MAR

Hice un anillo rectangular, pequeño, de forma serena, pero lleno de movimiento. Sobre su superficie soldé tiras onduladas de plata, y luego las cubrí con líneas cinceladas que van en distintas direcciones.

Me hizo pensar en pastos mecidos por el viento, o en la superficie cambiante del mar. Es un espacio pequeño, y sin embargo guarda movimiento. No una imagen detenida, sino una sensación de cambio en pleno respiro.

Lo que quiero que diga—sin palabras—es que todo está siempre en transformación. Nada se queda quieto. Tal vez solo quien observa. Quien sostiene. Eso siento a veces: que soy el recipiente, la vasija. La constante dentro del fluir.

Me recuerda al crecimiento, al agua, a la imposibilidad de aferrarse a nada. Puede verse, sentirse, pero nunca retenerse del todo. Se escurre. Se vuelve otra cosa. Y eso es lo que más me conmueve, creo. Que no necesita ser contenido para tener fuerza. Que la naturaleza salvaje también conoce la paz.
