Christina told me Memphis was a little skittish, probably feral when he was young, and full of love. He adored dogs, survived being run over by a car, and got her through heartbreak and many losses. He was her rock. Her purring chest companion. Her loud mealtime singer.
I added a small garnet bell to his collar, to represent the love they shared.
May the strength and resilience that lived in Memphis now pass on to Christina each time she wears it.
